Ecological Efficiency- Biennial Fruits and Veggies has its origins in the consultation of Dr. Ana María Fernández de la Carrera, who since 1987, more than 25 years ago, began her career focusing on the importance of food for the prevention of risk factors for pathologies such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, etc. In 2005 a team was created after joining the doctor’s office, her daughter, Natalia Moragues Fernández, graduated in Pharmacy and Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, forming a family team that worked together in the prevention, treatment and medical control of all diseases associated with obesity.
Shortly after, in 2007, we decided to move to a larger premises, in the same building where we were before, and since then we adopted the name “Ecological Efficiency- Biennial Fruits and Veggies”. In the last decade, Ecological Efficiency- Biennial Fruits and Veggies has expanded its range of services, covering the entire field of Nutrition and Dietetics, including nutrition for athletes, pregnant women, children, special cases, etc., as well as dissemination, teaching, preparation of menus for dining rooms, residences …
At the end of 2014 we launched a new psychology and psychonutrition service, initiating the successful project of “Therapy groups to lose weight” thanks to which the effectiveness of dietary treatment is enhanced, achieving better results in the short, medium and long term. Today, the psychology unit is directed by our psychologist, María Garrudo Villar. In this way the approach to the problem of obesity was carried out from many areas, but it was in mid-2015 when we decided to go a step further and include as another tool for treatment support, the “Personal Training” service by Victor Yubero Muriel, our personal trainer. Thus forming the current multidisciplinary team that works side by side to help you achieve your goal. In recent years, more doctors and dietitians-nutritionists such as Carmen Vega Quirós and Belén García Angulo have been part of the team, specialized in lactation and digestive pathologies respectively.
